We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this roleSalary: CompetitiveWhat you’ll be doing:To carry out routine work with limited supervision & have an understanding of safety consequences in a high risk environmentResponsible for leading Test and Commissioning activities of on board electrical systemsLiaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant mannerInstruct & mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge & competencyAbility to research, review & interrogate technical design documentation and drawings and subsequently create test documentationKeep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure and legislationTo represent the company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirementsResponsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislationYour skills and experiences:Knowledge of electrical control and instrumentation of system operations, ideally hydraulic, pressurised air and gas, domestic and chilled waterExperience in commissioning of complex systems power plants, motors and high voltage systemsWrite and issue Rip Out documentation to process, identifying correct isolations to safety isolate ship systemsHNC in Electrical EngineeringKnowledge of test equipment & activities required for specific testsUnderstanding of the role and how T&C contributes to the wider business and UK enterpriseKnowledge of safety controls & procedures in a high risk environmentAware of Nuclear Site/Authorisation ConditionsExperience working with Distribution Systems, Fire Protection Systems and Electrical TestingKnowledge of Instrumentation Systems including; Electrostatic Discharge, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications, PLCs & Fibre OpticsBenefits:You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave incentive and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
