A highly experienced manager is sought to lead the clinical and administrative teams at a Veterinary Hospital, the largest 24-hour hospital within its group. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to oversee a large, multidisciplinary team within a busy, state-of-the-art veterinary facility.
About the Role:
* This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced veterinary leader to step into a high-impact role within a well-established, cutting-edge veterinary hospital.
* This is a full-time, on-site position (Monday to Friday), with occasional on-call duties at weekends for urgent management queries (no hospital attendance required).
* The successful candidate will work closely with a long-established Head Vet, alongside senior veterinary professionals, including the Head Nurse, Deputy Nurses, and other senior team members.
The hospital houses a large and dedicated team, consisting of:
* 24 Veterinary Surgeons
* 30 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
* 14 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs)
* 7 Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs)
Key Responsibilities:
* Fostering a collaborative and respectful team environment
* Driving the operational and financial success of the hospital
* Overseeing general practice management, including stock control, staff rotas, holiday and absence management
* Managing the reception team, ensuring exceptional client service, debt control, and complaint resolution
* Supporting hospital recruitment and liaising with HR when necessary
* Demonstrating strong multitasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting
The Veterinary Hospital is equipped with:
* Advanced diagnostic tools, including a CT scanner
* An in-house commercial laboratory
* A skilled medical team and experienced surgeons performing advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery
* A dedicated rotating night team providing OOH support
* As a referral centre for complex cases, the hospital plays a pivotal role in supporting surrounding clinics in the region.

The Offer:
* The salary band for this position is £55,000 to £65,000 p/a, depending on prior experience and skills.
