We are looking for an Occupational Therapist that can deliver high quality care within a busy and acute inpatient environment. The post would be a static post within the Medical and Healthcare of the Older Person (HCOOP) team at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford., You will be working as a key member of the team supporting patients on the acute medical and HCOOP wards, offering assessment and treatment plans, alongside discharge planning.
The successful candidate would be expected to:
o To manage a clinical caseload of patients, and be responsible for the assessment, formulation and evaluation of patient-centred care.
o To be able to facilitate safe discharge planning from hospital to the community.
o To deputise for Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team
o To be actively involved with training and development within the Department in support of new graduate Occupational therapists, student therapists, therapy apprentices and support workers alongside other senior members of the team.
o Promote the role of OT and demonstrate the values to the members of the multi-disciplinary team.
