With an extremely exciting new project coming our way, we have an available position opening up for a Contract Manager to join the team at G3 Systems. The Contract Manager is responsible for the management of the contract made with the Custom including negotiating the Terms and Conditions and ensuring compliance with these during contract execution.
Mobilisation:
* Support Contract negotiations with the Customer.
* Identification of flow down requirements to the supply chain in conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager.
* Establish contract management processes and procedures, including contract document management system.
Service Delivery:
* Manage the contract and relationship with the customers Commercial Officer, acting as the Point of Contact for all contractual or commercial matters.
* Manage all contractual amendments and changes on behalf of the Company.
* Monitoring contract performance against KPI’s.
* Be responsible for liaison with the customer and business partners with respect to initiating and concluding commercial agreements including NDA’s.
* Review and negotiate Terms and Conditions as required. Ensure that the terms and conditions of any proposals submitted to the customer and/or the contract as subsequently agreed after negotiation, reflect the basis on which the decision to enter into the contract was made, as part of the formal acceptance.
* Provide support to Supply Chain when required.
* Manage commercial filing system in place for this contract including ensuring records are maintained in accordance with relevant Company processes and legal requirements.
* Responsible for managing the export licencing and governance processes as may be required.
* Advise on, resolve and escalate contract disputes to senior management where necessary
International Travel
The role will require significant UK and overseas travel, mostly in Europe. To this end the candidate must
be willing and able to travel, both in the UK and overseas.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* Defence industry or NSPA commercial experience and commercial contracting
* A minimum of 5 year’s relevant experience in:
- Structuring, negotiating and closing commercial agreements.
- Contract management in relevant industries.
- Experience of international business including export controls, letter of credit, bonds, warranties and guarantees.
- Experience in Project and Contract risk management.
- Providing relevant advice on all commercial aspects of typical transactions and agreements to internal stakeholders.
- Working with financial information and is aware of financial impact on bids/contracts/projects
* Proficient user of MS Office applications
* Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
* Proactive, professional and responsive to customer/team needs
* Ability to quickly build good relationships with internal and external customers.
* Security Cleared or be able to achieve security clearance.
