Role Overview:
As a Service Advisor at Paul Rigby Volvo Birmingham, you will be the primary point of contact for our valued customers requiring maintenance and repair services. Your role will involve coordinating vehicle services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the smooth running of the aftersales department. This is a key role that requires excellent communication skills, technical understanding, and a commitment to delivering the Volvo brand promise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the first point of contact for customers, providing professional and friendly support throughout the service process.
2. Schedule vehicle service and repair appointments, coordinating with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow.
3. Provide accurate cost estimates, explain repairs, and gain approval from customers before work commences.
4. Maintain regular communication with customers, updating them on vehicle progress and addressing any queries promptly.
5. Process invoices and ensure all payments are handled efficiently.
6. Promote additional services and products in line with customer needs and company objectives.
7. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and service history.
8. Work collaboratively with technicians, the Service Manager, and other team members to ensure a seamless service experience.
9. Uphold Paul Rigby Ltd and Volvo’s high standards for customer service and professionalism.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry (preferred).
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
3. High attention to detail and organisational skills.
4. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
5. Familiarity with automotive systems and technical terminology (desirable).
6. Proficiency in using dealership management systems and Microsoft Office.
7. A full UK driving licence is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,571.40 - £29,500.00 per year
