Business Development Manager - UK based with international travel
The Business Development Manager will improve Alco Valves Group market position and achieve revenue growth. The candidate will build key customer and distributor relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close deals and maintain an extensive knowledge of the oil and gas, petrochemical and renewables markets. The role is to ensure commercial success of a diverse range of manufactured valve products. This would involve working with a brand, which has been established since 1977.
Role Structure
The Business Development Manager is an important role within Alco Valves Group, reporting directly to the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
2. Develop as appropriate within your market geographic areas to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
3. Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
4. Identify new distribution partners and channels around the world to successfully market Alco Valves Group products.
5. Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organization.
6. Research and build relationships with new clients.
7. Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders/Principals.
8. Plan approaches and pitches, working with the internal team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
9. Participate in pricing the solution/service.
10. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
11. Present an image that mirrors that of the client.
12. Develop end user approvals within the area of coverage and approved manufacturers lists.
13. Develop a network of distributors and agents.

Please Note
The role is ideal for a motivated candidate with a desire to enhance his/her skills in a rapidly developing business.
The role is UK Based and will require international travel - must be local to Brighouse.
Working Hours
38.5 hours per week (standard hours), Monday to Thursday: 8.00hrs – 16.45hrs lunch 12.30 to 13.00 (or as required). Additional hours are required in terms of business circumstances.
33 days annual leave made up of flexible, statutory and end of year shutdown holidays.
