About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant in our Complex Needs Hub, you will:
Work closely with classroom teachers to deliver tailored support for children with special educational needs, focusing on their individual academic and personal development.
Use structured, sensory-based activities to encourage engagement and learning in a safe, supportive environment.
Assist with personal care needs, ensuring the comfort and dignity of each child.
Collaborate with a skilled team of professionals, including speech and language therapists and occupational therapists, to provide holistic care and support.
Build strong, trusting relationships with the children, their families, and the teaching team to create a stable and nurturing learning environment.
About You
Our ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:
Have previous experience working with children with special needs, especially those with autism and non-verbal communication challenges, although training will be provided for the right candidate.
Demonstrate reliability, patience, and a deep commitment to providing consistent, long-term support to each child.
