Our client, a leading provider within the fire industry, are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially focused Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support their growing portfolio of projects across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing and dynamic business involved in diverse, high-value contracts. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain pricing for Bills of Quantities (BOQs), updating registers accordingly. Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients. Liaise closely with client estimating departments to align on scope and pricing. Collaborate with the Contracts team to drive value through all project stages. Track, monitor, and report on project costs. Perform accurate takeoffs from architectural and technical drawings. Carry out full QS duties including re-measurement, preparing monthly progress applications, and final account settlements. Identify and advise on commercial risks across projects. Manage change control processes, including identification, documentation, and agreement of variations. Ensure all sub-contract documentation is correctly executed pre-start, protecting the company's interests. Assist in upstream commercial reporting. Compile and submit monthly valuations, applications, and invoices. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or a similar role. Solid understanding of various contract types and their commercial implications. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Commercially astute with sound business judgment and IT proficiency. Experience or understanding of firestopping is a distinct advantage.
