We are delighted to be supporting Fundi, a commercial finance business incorporated in 2023 by Max Mackay, who has a long-standing career in commercial finance. The company currently consists of 6 people, with plans to double this over the next 18 months. Based in Leeds city centre, they offer a compelling multi-product service to the SME market and have an extensive lending panel allowing them to tailor solutions to individual customer needs.
This is a flexible hybrid role where you manage your own week/diary, balancing office-based work and customer networking. Key growth sectors include construction, property development, and transport engineering.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:
1. Identifying and prospecting potential clients
2. Building and maintaining client relationships
3. Conducting market research
4. Preparing proposals
5. Negotiating and closing deals
The role is located in Leeds with flexibility for remote work.

You will drive new business opportunities through a self-generated pipeline, with full support and training from the wider team to help you focus on converting these opportunities.
What You'll Get In Return
The base salary for this role is up to £25k, with a realistic double OTE within your first year in terms of commission. This is paid on all revenue generated and processed the month after you close the deal. Top-performing BDMs in this industry generally earn between £120k and £150k per annum.
