Teacher of ICT, Computing and Business Studies
Teaching ICT, Computing and Business Studies is a key role within the Academy, ensuring that the Academy’s vision of excellence and success is achieved within this core department. Through having the highest expectations, they will be able to continue to drive up standards of achievement, attainment and enjoyment for the subject so that all pupils can make exceptional progress.
The successful applicant will be committed to leading learning within the department which has high quality teaching and learning at its heart. They will be passionate about teaching ICT, Computing and Business Studies and have a strong desire to develop, within students, a real interest in the subject, by offering them a range of high quality experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. They will also be committed to ensuring that all students are given the best opportunities to succeed and use strategies that will ignite within each learner a strong desire to achieve their very best.
The ICT department consists of dedicated teaching rooms. Each of the rooms is equipped with a smart board, whiteboard and a visualiser and a set of computers/Apple Macs with ICT programmes which can support learning.

* Location – North Manchester
* Position – ICT, Computing and Business Studies Teacher (KS3/4)

* Minimum rate of pay – £140
* Hours – 8:15 am – 4pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
* Degree educated with a good classification, (desirable to be in a humanities based subject)
* Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, QTS, etc) in Geography, History or RE
* Previous experience teaching History to young people (which we can reference)
* Experience of teaching in a UK Secondary School (which we can reference)
* Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, training can be provided)
* Up to date prevent awareness training that is issued in the last 3 years (essential, training can be provided)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
* Hold Right to Work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate that is on the update service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide at least two professional child related references to cover the last two years
