Overview of the role:
We are seeking a Product Designer to join our team. This is a greenfield role, giving you the opportunity to establish the company’s design foundations and shape how we approach UX and UI across our products. You will work closely with cross functional teams to create intuitive and seamless user experiences. Your focus will be on establishing cohesive design systems, mapping user journeys, and optimising workflows to ensure our product is not only straightforward to navigate but also enables users to complete tasks efficiently and effortlessly.
About you
This role is perfect for someone excited about creating foundational design practices in a growing tech environment. You will excel at identifying opportunities to improve user experiences and have a knack for transforming complex workflows into intuitive designs. With a mix of creative and analytical skills, you can balance the big-picture vision with the details needed to make it happen.
You’ll have experience developing user-centric solutions, and establishing design systems. As someone who enjoys collaborating across teams, you’ll be comfortable engaging with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to align design outcomes with business goals. You’ll bring a proactive mindset, ready to champion the user’s perspective while adapting to an agile and fast-paced work environment.
You are detail-oriented yet adaptable, thriving in situations where you can balance structure with flexibility. Your designs will reflect a strong emphasis on usability and performance, ensuring users can navigate products effortlessly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities:
* User Research: Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and inform design decisions.
* Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
* UI/UX Design: Design user interfaces and experiences that are visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly.
* Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and Developers to translate requirements into design solutions and ensure feasibility.
* Design Systems: Establish and maintain the company’s first design system to ensure consistency across all products.
* Data-Driven Design: Use analytics and user feedback to iterate on designs and improve product performance.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential
· Proven experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role.
· Strong portfolio showcasing design projects from concept to completion.
· Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
· Excellent understanding of UX principles and user-centric design methodologies.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Desirable
· Experience in fintech or regulated sectors.
