I am working with a great client in the Lakes assisting them with their search for an experienced General Manager for their fantastic town centre site. This is a hands-on role where you will be actively involved in all aspects of the business.
I’m looking to speak with experienced General Managers with a background working in fast-paced venues with accommodation with a great mix of tourists and locals.
Ideal General Manager Profile:
1. Experience working in high volume venues with accommodation.
2. Excellent financial acumen – excellent P&L knowledge, able to manage and control all expenditures.
3. A real people person, able to deliver excellent customer service to locals and visitors in a busy environment.
4. Practical and hands-on approach to management and service with a sharp focus on strategy and profitability.
Key General Manager Responsibilities:
1. Managing and controlling expenditure
2. Analysing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies
3. Recruiting, training and monitoring staff
4. Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
5. Ensuring security is effective
6. Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, food safety and other statutory regulations.
