The post holder will be responsible for the timely notification, and provision of closure (assurance) forms for Patient Safety Incidents, providing updates on progress with investigations and responding to queries. To ensure the Health Board fulfils its reporting requirements to Regulatory bodies in relation to Patient Safety Incidents. The post holder will be required to liaise directly with Welsh Government, NHS Executive, Health Inspectorate Wales and other regulatory bodies as required. A key part of the role will be to track the progress of investigations against agreed timescales with senior staff seeking confirmation that agreed actions have been implemented to provide assurance to the Executive Team and Regulatory bodies. The post holder will be a key member of the Organisational Learning Team for Putting Things Right team and work to support ongoing activities ensuring timely compliance with NHS Executive timescales. The post holder is expected to work unsupervised using their own initiative and demonstrate appropriate analytical ability and comprehension skills. The post holder will display sensitivity, tact and diplomacy at all times and will liaise with staff across the organisation and outside stakeholders.
