Your new role
In this role, my client is looking for someone with knowledge of the purchasing life cycle and supply chain management. You will be working in a fun but streamlined team of a Team Manager and 2 other Planners where you will need to build rapport with your key clients and be able to work with fast paced orders.
Responsibilities:
1. Reviewing open order book daily.
2. Chasing suppliers where necessary, order acknowledgement, obtaining PODs, lead times, pricing etc.
3. Placing of domestic and international purchase orders and all associated tasks.
4. Arranging or organising shipment plans with international suppliers.
5. Reviewing stock profiles and working with suppliers and Product Manager about correct portfolio ROL, special or stocked items.
6. SO99+ Maintenance/Inventory control procedures.
7. Managing aged stock and slow moving lines, quarterly stock rotation.
8. Selection and development of service providers e.g., freight forwarders.
9. Constant pursuit of better pricing and terms of purchase.
10. Building supplier relationships.
11. Reviewing rebates and working to targets.
12. Creating part codes and BOM codes via PIM and Navi.
13. Vendor clean up.
14. Adding alternatives/supplementary, updating EOL lines via PIM.
15. Mass uploads including monthly price list updates.
16. Gathering all the relevant data from suppliers and ensuring product database integrity.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience and knowledge of purchasing/supply chain
* Strong Communication Skills
* Experience of Microsoft including intermediate Excel
* Attention to detail
What you'll get in return
This role is to work between 08:30-17:30 with 1 hour for lunch. Currently, the role has one day working from home after probation.
