Job summary
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Systems Support Officer to join our busy Clinical Imaging IT Systems office (PACS Team) within the Clinical Imaging department at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. The team supports in excess of 12,000 clinical and non-clinical staff within the Cornwall Healthcare Community in the use of Clinical Imaging associated computer systems.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day integrity, safe use and maintenance of Clinical Imaging IT systems including the PACS, (Picture Archiving and Communication System), database and will be expected to liaise with multidisciplinary teams. You should possess excellent IT, communication and interpersonal skills together with the ability to deal with conflicting priorities and numerous interruptions. Attention to detail is a prerequisite of this role.
Main duties of the job
Successful delivery of clinical IT system support to staff in the Cornwall Healthcare Community in accordance with the agreed quality standards and within NHS policies and procedures enforced by the Cornwall Health Community. Many of these systems have a direct impact on patient care and may require urgent and immediate attention necessitating prompt reorganisation of your workload.
Regular administration and monitoring of the various clinical systems to ensure optimum performance and minimum 'down time' is maintained at all times.
Ensuring that system security and data accuracy is maintained at all times.
Management of own workload including support calls, system maintenance, project commitments and day to day routine tasks with minimum supervision.
