Band 8b Senior Transformation Programme Manager - Trust HQ

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an 8b Senior Transformation Programme Manager to join the Joint Commissioning Team within the Mental Health Provider Collaborative.
The post holder will provide overall Senior Programme Management leadership to the BSOL MHPC overseeing transformation projects in particular the NHS Talking Therapies for Anxiety and Depression (NHSTT) Programme, counselling and a range of secondary care-based community mental health teams including Community Mental Health Teams, Early Intervention services, Neighbourhood Mental Health Teams, Assertive Outreach Teams and Specialist Psychological Therapies.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing effective programme management support to the MHPC, leading and overseeing the implementation of a number of highly complex projects to ensure the programme aims are met, particularly the delivery of key priorities for NHSTT and community mental health services.
The post holder will work with managers, clinical leads, service users, wider ICB/BSol partners, as well as regional and national teams, to drive significant projects as part of the programme, ensuring effective implementation.
The post holder will demonstrate the value of effective project management techniques to all leads across the programme, promoting service improvement through the introduction and maintenance of necessary project management disciplines and practices, ensuring objectives are delivered on time and within budget, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Working with the Head of Mental Health Commissioning, the post holder will oversee the governance of the programme, linking with Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and the support team to ensure the successful running of the document management function, decision-making recording, and escalation, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements of the BSMHFT PMO as lead provider.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working; you will typically be asked to work from home and also from Trust HQ The Uffculme Centre, or any other agreed site.
Person Specification
Training and Qualifications
* Educated to Master's degree level or equivalent experience
* Formal management or project management qualification (Prince 2, MSP) tested in a management/project management role
Experience
* In-depth recent experience in programme management at a senior level and in project management
* Experience of preparing detailed project plans, reports, etc.
* Experience in managing large budgets
* Ability to use Microsoft Project or similar project planning tool
* Previous NHS experience working as a senior project manager or in a senior role managing change
Skills/Knowledge
* Able to form excellent relationships and influence and negotiate effectively to deliver results
* Able to manage and resolve conflict situations and investigate, analyse, and resolve complex problems
* Able to lead, encourage, and motivate staff, giving clear instructions to teams and successfully monitoring and managing performance
* Able to write clear and concise technical reports, system specifications, user documentation, etc.
* Excellent presentation and keyboard skills
