1. Work closely with the members of the CAMHS Bee-U Neurodevelopmental service in developing, implementing, and monitoring care provided to children, young people and their families. 2. Be a key member of the ADHD multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with the Neurodevelopmental Team. 3. Work autonomously, taking the lead in preliminary assessments of new referrals using the agreed assessment tools and analysis of the resulting information. Undertake and record observations within schools, clinics, and home settings. 4. To act as a non-medical prescriber for ADHD related medicines, in line with NMC, NICE and national guidelines around medicines optimization prescribing. 5. Implement a family centered care approach, which captures the voice of the child and promotes involvement in the decision-making process. 6. Work closely with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive inclusive and expert assessment of children referred with symptoms and comorbidities based upon appropriate use, interpretation, and integrations of complex data from a variety of sources, including psychological assessments, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations as well as interviews with the young people and their families. 7. Be a first point of contact for queries, giving advice and signposting to outside agencies in supporting children, young people, their families/carers, schools, and other professionals, 8. Work with and liaise with parents and carers to resolve any complaints or concerns at local level before escalating to team leader. 9. Work in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), NMC Standards and Proficiencies and Trust guidelines. 10.Practice as NMP as per national and local guidance and within scope of practice for the role. 11. Maintain relevant pharmaceutical knowledge, critically appraise, and apply information in practice. 12. Work within Trust policies that impact upon non-medical prescribing practice. 13. Work with children and parents/carers and schools to encourage medicines optimization and behaviour management programmes using a variety of communication strategies both verbal and written, to overcome possible barriers to understanding. 16. Provide direct expert nursing judgement and treatment interventions based on highly developed skills as well as knowledge regarding clinical management and educational management of the children and young people with ADHD. 17. Liaise with internal services such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS Bee-U), Social Care and Health and education to provide a holistic approach to care. 18. Work with colleagues in the design, development, and implementation of a rolling programme of parent education, delivered both in groups and individually in a range of settings. The post holder will use a range of training approaches and communication styles to deliver complex information which meets individual needs and to overcome possible barriers to understanding. 19. Undertake risk assessments and risk management for individual children, young people and families in accordance with assessment and care planning and management standards. 20. Use a range of IT systems to support the delivery of patient care 21. Effectively manage ongoing care of children diagnosed with ADHD as part of planned care. 22. Be aware of child protection policies, taking appropriate action where concerns are identified and the need to access ongoing safeguarding and clinical supervision and support in this area. 23. To coordinate patient transition from team caseload to adult ADHD services, ensuring continuity of care. 24. Utilise highly developed interpersonal skill and communication skills to develop excellent working relations with all agencies involved, including young people and their families. 25. Work within scope of practice and competencies to meet caseload/CYP/community needs. 26. Maintain contemporaneous clinical records in line with NMC guidelines and trust Clinical records Policy and attend mandatory training.
