Responsibilities:
1. Support the FD in the management of the Finance Team with a view to achieving the goals and aspirations of this acquisitive PE backed business on their growth journey.
2. Establish, maintain and develop the necessary controls and procedures with the wider Accounts Team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of results.
3. Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements, flagging and mitigating risk wherever possible.
4. Provide timely information to allow business decisions to be made quickly and accurately based on current data, trends and results.
5. Use experience and knowledge to upskill and train the wider Accounts team members and drive ‘best practice’ approach within the team.
6. Be prepared to get ‘your hands dirty’ in order to facilitate and improve the running of the overall finance function and resolve issues as they arise, implementing effective mitigations to ensure these are not repeated moving forwards.
7. Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes in a high-pressure environment.
8. Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and alignment of financial processes.
