An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Intervention Hub for a Family Intervention Worker. The Intervention Hub offers a locality wide support and intervention service to children known to Children’s Social Care and requiring the support of Child in Need, Child Protection or Looked After Child planning. You will be expected to travel across the borough between the Ellesmere Port/Neston, Chester and Northwich/Winsford districts within this role. The role of Family Intervention Worker will require you to provide a high-quality family intervention service to families open to Children’s Social Care and deliver relevant interventions in order to ensure that immediate needs are met whilst also aiming to effect long-term positive change to improve the welfare and life experiences of children, young people, and their families. Our Children's Social Care workforce is passionate and committed to improving outcomes for children in our Authority by providing a consistent, high-quality service to children and families, together with the support from excellent leadership and management. It is an exciting time to join Cheshire West and Chester. Our teams are encouraged to work creatively in planning and decision-making with children and their families in order to achieve positive outcomes and with a focus on prevention at every level.
