Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available within Medicine for an Assistant Directorate Manager.
You will be responsible for the day to day operational management of the directorate in conjunction with the Directorate Manager including: supporting the division's clinical governance programme, investigating and responding to complaints and incidents, risk management and business performance management. This will enable the Trust and the directorate to deliver a high quality of clinical care as well as meet activity, performance and financial targets.
There is an expectation that you will work with colleagues across the Divisional team to ensure achievement of key targets.
Main duties of the job
You will have experience of operational management, be self-motivated and possess excellent interpersonal and IT skills. You will have the ability to develop and lead specific projects and manage any associated change processes and attend core meetings both on behalf of and in the absence of the Directorate Manager. The ability to analyse data and make recommendations for improvement is a key part of these roles.
You will be required to deputise for the Directorate Manager as required.

* To be academically qualified to degree qualification/equivalency of experience.
* To have 3 years operational management experience.
* To have experience of managing targets.
* Experience in managing change/service redesign.
* Experience in staff recruitment.
* Operational management experience within the NHS.
