Job summary An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and competent individual to join the Endoscopy administration team. They will be a good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, good organisation, methodical, and able to remain calm when under pressure. The Endoscopy service is very busy therefore the post holder must have the ability to organise and prioritise their workload effectively, and work on their own initiative. Main duties of the job The post holder will be involved with a wide range of duties including calling patients to arrange their procedures, dealing with telephone enquiries and providing efficient support for the Endoscopy team. Responsibility for arranging endoscopic investigations for patients added to the Trust Waiting List according to clinical need & the 18 week referral to treatment (RTT) target. Responsibility for the effective and efficient management of Endoscopic procedure waiting lists. Responsibility for arranging Pre-Assessment (POA) and Endoscopic Telephone Assessment Clinic (ETAC) appointments for patients added to the waiting list. Covering reception/the booking team when the need arises in events to include sickness and annual leave cover.
