Working pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in Slough office with UK travel required

The role will be focused on supporting the sustainability team in a customer-focused position, ensuring policies and criteria are met. This opportunity provides huge room for growth and collaboration.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Collaboratively and proactively engage with the internal account management team to ensure all products on the customers’ contract are aligned to the relevant policy target and if not, provide clear guidance and instruction on what needs to be achieved to make the product work.
2. Act as a dedicated ESG contact responsible for key customer reporting and engagement.
3. Manage all suppliers on SEDEX ensuring all suppliers associated with key contracts are either SEDEX registered or are risk assessed in a different way. Ensure all SEDEX registered suppliers have up-to-date SAQs and all high-risk suppliers undergo a SMETA audit every 2 years. Follow up on any non-conformances from SMETA audits with suppliers.
4. Agree and create key ESG-related risk assessments and ways of working aligned to capabilities and data, ensuring key policy areas are covered.
5. Collate, critique, and present key data to key customers during monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings, ensuring any high-risk issues or challenges are communicated appropriately.
6. Engage regularly with suppliers on changes to our or our key customer policies, ensuring they can meet the policy and provide relevant data.
7. Ensure all required key metric reporting data from suppliers is received in full and on time to create formal submissions for customers’ publicly required reporting to external bodies such as the BBFAW.
8. Successfully manage projects on multiple timeframes, mindful of reporting deadlines and preparing reports for several areas to meet customers' sustainability objectives and commitments, particularly around new product development and policy alignment.
Essential Experience, Training and Qualifications:
1. Strong organisation skills to stay focused and prioritised amidst multiple projects.
2. Confident communicator, able to talk to senior customer representatives.
3. Degree-level educated or equivalent experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. A natural curiosity and commitment to continual learning, as this field is constantly evolving.
5. Visible enthusiasm about the subject matter to engage stakeholders and customers.
6. Willingness to travel.
