We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Planner to join our dynamic Area 7 team at Nottingham – Sandiacre (On-site).
In this role, you will support the Cyclic Planning Team by planning, maintaining, and delivering the highway cyclic and reactive maintenance programme in Area 7.

What You’ll Do:
* Developing and managing the cyclic maintenance programme for Area 7, to include working with the operational and commercial teams, developing a programme that is safe, efficient, effective and includes profiled resourcing requirements.
* Liaising between client and internal teams during the planning and delivery stages.
* Tracking progress, incorporating changes and forecasting delivery dates.
* Coordinating within the wider Planning Team to integrate with the reactive maintenance programme.
* Ensuring high standards of programming and road space booking are carried out to meet client and contract requirements.
* Overseeing works orders ensuring correct closure, documentation, and feedback on asset condition. Rescheduling works to meet contract deadlines.
* Chairing internal daily calls to understand performance and reasons for non-completion of works.
* Engaging with the Client and other key stakeholders through regular communications including weekly / monthly planning meetings and other forums.
* Preparing periodic reports, statistics, and answers to enquiries concerning the programme.
* Developing and improving working practices and seeking innovative solutions.
What You’ll Bring:
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and meticulous approach.
* Proactive and able to work on own initiative, managing workload and sometimes conflicting demands.
* Resilient and adaptable, thriving in dynamic environments and able to manage change.
* Confident in challenging assumptions and asking questions to challenge processes to drive continuous improvement.
* Advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel) and preferably but not essential Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, plus other tools/systems as defined by the project or client.
* Desirable, but not essential, experience in planning/project management, with experience in planning and managing roadspace bookings on a National Highways contract.
* Preferable but not essential experience of highways maintenance operations and an understanding of Chapter 8 Traffic Management.
