As a Technical Support Engineer with an expert in commercial vehicle and plant safety, your role will be to provide technical support to a growing customer base. Our client is an innovator of sensing and monitoring systems for vehicle and plant safety.
Ideally located within the M1/M25 area, the role will be both home office and field based covering all UK Operations, although primarily the Midlands. Training visits to HQ in Kent will be required to stay up to date on product knowledge and processes
This challenging role requires an engineer with technical knowledge of automotive electrics/electronics, you must be a confident communicator provide technical support, both “hands on” and through expert advice.
Fleet business development:
-- Perform both trial and initial fittings for customer sign off, setting the standard for installation partners who will complete the rollout
-- Document fitting work in line with Group Engineering standards to ensure visibility of work carried out and provide a template for installation partners
-- Ensure faults are documented and reported back to the Group Quality Manager
-- Technical support:
-- Telephone support for external customers / partners and internal colleagues (Customer Services and Sales / Fleet teams), trouble shooting and handling technical enquiries on products and/or application
-- Qualified to HNC / NVQ -with the emphasis on automotive electrics or an industry apprenticeship / time served with a vehicle manufacturer
-- Able to demonstrate high level of knowledge of DC Circuits with an understanding of analogue and digital electronics
