Art Technician
Permanent, on part time basis with flexibility to suit the right candidate.
Salary and Hours: Point 4 £24,404.00 (FTE) This post is term time only and therefore salary will be pro rata. Hours will be between 10 to 15 hours a week, 39 weeks per annum.

As an Art Technician, you will be required to oversee all aspects of resources, equipment and materials to support the department and the teachers.
The Art Department:
Cleeve Art Department is a successful and exciting environment to work in. We have 4 experienced art teachers who work collaboratively and in a positive environment across a department of 5 Art rooms. We teach a broad curriculum of skills to Key Stage 3, while specialising in Graphics and Fine Art at GCSE and Fine Art, Graphics and Photography at A level. This creates a strong diversity of practical outcomes and needs for our resourcing and teaching from painting, print making to digital processes. Students enjoy the subject and the Art rooms display work to richly reflect the achievements of all pupils at all key stages.

The importance of Art education is to enable pupils to develop confidence in their creativity through learning practical skills and techniques and in using their opinions, ideas and imagination. It is to foster an enthusiasm and appreciation of Art by learning about the role of Artists and cultures is societies past and present. Pupils should be made to feel comfortable in expressing them selves and taking risks without a fear of failure or judgement. Our Art curriculum is planned to cover a diverse range of artists and cultures.
