The role is working with one of the world's leading infrastructure and civil engineering construction companies. The company has global revenues of over €19 billion annually and is currently engaged on some of the largest and most exciting infrastructure projects in Europe.
This role will be working with a dedicated Environment team on a multi-billion-pound scheme.\n\nKey responsibilities of the Environment Manager will include: \n\nLead the environmental aspects of the project, ensuring alignment with the environmental management system and project requirements. Support the implementation of ISO 14001, ISO 50001, PAS 2080, and other relevant systems.\nBuild and manage a high-performing environmental management team, providing guidance, mentorship, and upskilling throughout the project lifecycle.\nOversee compliance with environmental legislation, client requirements, and internal procedures. Manage risk assessments, environmental assurance activities, and regular audits to ensure environmental standards are met.\nManage environmental stakeholder relationships, support environmental incident investigations, and lead initiatives for continuous improvement, including waste management, supplier audits, and contributing to knowledge sharing within the organization.
\n\nThe successful Environment Manager requires: \n\nQualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline\nProfessional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)\nDemonstratable environmental management experience, ideally within large Infrastructure, Civil engineering, or related industry\nExcellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
