We're currently supporting a provider seeking a Deputy Nursing Home Manager to support their medium-sized nursing home for the elderly with Dementia. The service is rated 'Requires Improvement' with CQC, holds occupancy levels at 66%, and has no agency usage.
Key Responsibilities of a Deputy Manager:
1. Assisting the manager to run the home, including standards, quality of care, recruitment, and training.
2. Conducting staff appraisals, meetings, and disciplinaries when required.
3. Ensuring the smooth running of shifts.
4. Maintaining clinical governance.
5. Ensuring company policies are followed and adhered to.
6. Stepping up in the absence of the home manager.
Deputy Home Manager Requirements:
1. RGN or RMN Pin.
2. Experience in a leadership/management role.
3. Open to some weekend work.
4. Experience working with the elderly and dementia patients.
5. Ability to manage teams, improve services, quality, and performance.
6. Conducting staff appraisals, meetings, and disciplinaries.
7. Ensuring CQC and company policies are followed and adhered to.
