Job Overview
SAUR UK, a renowned water and wastewater provider in Scotland, is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join its team at the Wastewater Treatment Works in Dalmuir. This role will involve executing planned and corrective electrical maintenance tasks to ensure the reliable operation of plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implementation of scheduled planned maintenance by generating work orders using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
* Identification and reporting of abnormal equipment behavior or critical process situations
* Comprehensive knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, especially PLC, electrical panels, and components, MCCs, SCADA, and general electrical duties
* Installation, repair, and testing of various types of industrial equipment and components
* Reacting to failure or breakdown of equipment and carrying out corrective or remedial measures as necessary or directed
* Suggesting solutions for continuous improvement of plant safety, reliability, and overall efficiency
Requirements:
* Certification in IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 to 17th/18th edition standard
* Completion of an electrical engineering apprenticeship at the trade level
* Experience in a similar role
* Proficiency in automated/PLC-controlled equipment, MCC, and SCADA systems
* Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and process schematics/specifications
* Understanding of mechanical systems and constraints
Working Conditions:
* The core working week is 37 hours from Monday to Friday - Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 15:30 & Friday 07:30 - 15:00
* Reasonable flexibility is offered to accommodate personal obligations
Salary and Benefits:
* Competitive salary range £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
