If so, we want to hear from you Position: Behaviour Support Assistant Location: Darwen, Lancashire Contract: Full-time, Term-time Only Salary: Competitive, depending on experience About the Role: As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges. You will work closely with teachers, learning support staff, and other professionals to provide tailored support to individuals, enabling them to reach their full potential in both academic and social settings. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural and emotional needs. Assist in creating and implementing behaviour management plans. Support students during lessons, helping them to engage with their work and peers. Promote positive behaviour and social skills development in the classroom and throughout the school day. Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to track progress and share insights. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a behaviour support or teaching assistant role (desirable but not essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students. A keen understanding of different learning styles and how to adapt support to meet the needs of each student.
