The school is co-educational from 16-18 with 149 students currently on roll. The school was judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2022 and ‘Outstanding’ by SIAMS in February 2018.

Our success can be credited to our hard-working students, supportive parents and committed and dedicated staff both within the Science Department and school as a whole.
Science is taught up to Key Stage 5 in Biology, Chemistry and Physics with teachers teaching within their subject specialisms in the majority of cases. We follow the AQA specification with a large percentage of students being given the opportunity to study Separate Science at Key Stage 4.
