Location: Knutsford-Hybrid (2/3 days -onsite)

Job description:
Clear focus on creating intuitive customer experiences that are driven from an evidence-based design process; you will be the lynchpin of that principle. Working with a team 20+ strong, UX, UI Design, UX copy, and product owners, you will help shape and validate research hypotheses across a varying range of digital projects.
Work cross-functionally with colleagues globally to shape and support a consistent set of best practices and shared research opportunities and learning in order to mature the research practice within the business.
Key Accountabilities
1. Undertake project work as directed by the Head of UX Research. Collaboratively planning and executing end-to-end UX research studies which result in improved experiences for both prospective and existing (consumer and B2B) customers across web and mobile.
2. Communicate research conclusions and recommendations to the experience design team and wider business stakeholders (e.g., product owners, analytics, legal, brand, marketing).
3. Screening, recruitment, and scheduling of participants for relevant research studies.
4. Provide the immediate digital team and wider stakeholder community with a broader appreciation of research principles and considerations, undertaking team training/knowledge sharing activities.
5. Identify opportunities to further cross-sell UX and research across the business.
Person Specification Essential:
1. Hands-on experience with: behavioral and ethnographic research, iterative lab/guerrilla usability testing, tree testing, benchmarking, remote/online testing (e.g., Userzoom/Usabilitytesting.com, Optimal workshop), survey design, and analysis.
2. Solid skills in wireframing & rapid prototyping using Axure, InVision, etc.
3. Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical abilities, with first-rate attention to detail and presentation skills.
4. Stakeholder interviews and management.
5. Proven history of working in AGILE cross-functional teams.
6. Deep understanding of user journeys, personas, user stories, task modeling, usability, and human-centered design.
7. Ability to successfully manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure.
8. Experience of working closely with UX, visual designers, and developers, to drive effective user research.
9. Workshop: Discovery, requirements gathering, and co-creation.
10. Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design in general.
11. Strong project portfolio that clearly demonstrates the caliber of your research skills.
Desirable:
1. A relevant degree (e.g., Human Factors, UX, HCI, or Cognitive Psychology) and a minimum of three years' of commercial experience in interaction design or UX research.
2. Agency background.
3. Experience in the financial sector.
4. Good working knowledge of AGILE software (e.g., Rally/AGILE Central, Jira, Confluence).
5. Understanding of web and mobile technical development (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android, iOS).
