Our client, a well-established organisation in Birmingham, is looking for a Service Charge Manager to lead their team and oversee all aspects of service charge management, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellent stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and mentor a team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to develop skills.
Manage workloads effectively and address performance concerns in line with HR policies.Service Charge Accounting & Compliance:
Ensure preparation of annual service charge accounts in line with legal and regulatory standards.
Manage reconciliation of service charge budgets with actual expenditure, ensuring accuracy.
Liaise with property managers, clients, and external auditors on service charge matters.
Ensure compliance with RICS regulations and other relevant accounting standards.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.Financial Planning & Reporting:
Prepare and issue service charge statements and budgets.
Assist in forecasting and reporting on service charge income and expenditure.
