Role Overview
As a Junior Project Manager, you will support senior team members in delivering electrical installations for office fit-outs across Central London. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your project management skills within the fast-paced and exciting field of electrical contracting. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in managing client relationships, overseeing site operations, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Support: Assist in the day-to-day management of electrical installations for CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
2. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients, suppliers, and contractors, helping to maintain positive working relationships and ensuring that client requirements are met.
3. Site Coordination: Support the senior project managers in coordinating site activities, ensuring the timely delivery of materials and managing the schedules of on-site teams.
4. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, timelines, and budgets. Ensure all project records are up to date and accessible.
5. Health & Safety: Assist in ensuring that health and safety protocols are followed on-site, promoting a safe and compliant working environment.
6. Budget Monitoring: Track project costs and help ensure that projects stay within budget, assisting with procurement and managing invoices as required.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. A keen interest in project management, particularly within the electrical contracting or construction industry.
2. A strong desire to learn and develop your skills in managing commercial projects.
3. Basic knowledge of electrical systems or office fit-outs is desirable, though not essential.
4. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
5. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
6. A proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges and learn on the job.
Desirable:
1. Experience in the electrical or construction industry (e.g., internships, site work, or academic background).
2. Familiarity with project management software or tools.
