As a Social Work Assistant you will be expected to work within a supportive team(Locality)who, with the support of the Principle Social Worker an Team Manager will assist in the delivery of services and be responsible for case allocation of a small caseload where necessary.
Key responsibilities will include the following:
To review and update knowledge policy and procedural frameworks and provide intervention in accordance with these.
Work with children, families, carer groups and communities to help them make informed change.
Assist users to enhance their independence and coping skills.
Be aware of risks in relation to child protection and protection of vulnerable adults and report these appropriately as required.
Implement support for individuals as previously assessed to meet their immediate needs.
To be aware of carers and request carer assessments as required.
Prepare for and participate in decision-making forums.
Manage and prioritise the workload, carry out duties using accountable considered judgement.
Feedback to the allocated case holder to inform ongoing assessment.
To be a successful candidate for this role you must have the following:
Experience of direct work with Children.
Full UK Drivers License.
