We are actively recruiting for both Band 4 & Band 5 children’s residential support workers across the Belfast Area & Downpatrick Area.
Where will you be working?
Children’s Homes across the Belfast and Downpatrick Area.
How much will you get paid & Hours of work?
* Band 4 Support Worker £12.86ph - £20.58ph dependent on shift worked.
* Band 5 Support Worker - £14.53ph - £23.24ph dependent on shift worked.
* Days & Nights required.
What does the job involve?
* Assist with the care and supervision of the children and young people who are resident in the home.
* Work in partnership with the keyworkers to ensure care plans can be developed.
* Work with children/young people and their families, on a one-to-one or group basis, using a variety of interventions, to identify needs and achieve positive outcomes.
* Work co-operatively with children’s services, health agencies, and other community-based services, to provide the most effective service for the children/young people and their carers/families.
* Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Do you meet the criteria?
* (Essential Criteria for Band 5) Hold a higher-level education qualification & 1 year’s experience working in a children’s residential setting OR have 2 years experience working in a children’s residential setting.
* (Essential Criteria for Band 4) 1 year’s experience working in a children’s residential setting.
* Registered with NISSC.
* Willingness to do mandatory in-house training.
* Must complete Enhanced Access NI check yearly.
