The Role
Contentious construction solicitors seeking a fulfilling and varied role will find the range and quality of work this team undertake to be a real joy.
You will gain exposure to an excellent standard of work across a myriad of sectors including a range of innovative energy technologies, infrastructure, utilities, commercial developments, PFI/PPP, transport and much more.
Key elements of the role will include:
1. Advising clients on contractual obligations and disputes
2. Leading large-scale court actions in the TCC, Court of Session and Sherrif Court
3. Providing pre-dispute advice, assessing the strength of position and undertaking dispute avoidance activity including arbitration, mediation and adjudication
4. Advising on project continuity and documenting settlements and agreements

The Ideal Candidate
5. Is an experienced construction lawyer with at least 3 years of relevant PQE
6. Is technically strong with up-to-date legal knowledge
7. Can manage a varied caseload and work with a range of clients
8. Has excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with colleagues and clients alike
9. Is commercially aware and knowledgeable about the current construction law landscape
