A prestigious national law firm is seeking to expand its highly regarded Property Finance team in Birmingham with the addition of a junior Property Finance Solicitor. This role is ideal for general property lawyers looking to specialise in property finance work and take the next step in their career or otherwise those already specialising in this area. You will join a leading team advising on complex, high-value real estate finance transactions across a wide range of sectors.
The team handles a variety of property finance matters, including development, acquisition, and refinancing transactions for large-scale projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in property finance within a close knit, supportive and dynamic environment.
The Role
As a Property Finance Solicitor, your responsibilities will include:
· Advising on the real estate aspects of significant property finance transactions, including lending for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
· Assisting clients with property due diligence, title issues, risk assessments, and leasehold matters as part of complex lending arrangements.
· Working closely with senior team members to manage and advise on transactions, primarily for lenders, but occasionally for borrowers.
· Engaging with a variety of clients, including lenders, developers and property companies, to facilitate the successful completion of high-profile projects.
· Managing transactions involving large-scale developments such as student accommodation, build-to-rent schemes, and commercial portfolios.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
· NQ - 4 years PQE considered.
· Experience in general property law with a strong interest in transitioning to property finance or existing property finance experience.
· A solid understanding of real estate matters, with a keen interest in developing expertise in property finance.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to manage relationships with clients and colleagues. The role is well suited to someone who is sociable and enjoys networking.
· A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
