Job Description
We’re seeking a dynamic and confident Office Manager with experience working in a fast paced legal firm who is ready to tackle a range of exciting challenges in our fast-paced legal environment. From overseeing day-to-day office operations to managing major projects like sourcing and implementing new case management systems, this role offers variety and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Management
* Oversee Front of House and support teams, ensuring office spaces are well-maintained.
* Coordinate external services, including maintenance and IT support.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fire safety, and office equipment standards.
Human Resources
* Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff training.
* Lead appraisals and manage six support staff.
* Resolve personnel issues and maintain up-to-date staff records.
Information Technology
* Act as the primary contact for IT, managing relationships with suppliers and support companies.
* Identify potential system upgrades and improvements, and ensure smooth integration of new technologies.
* Ensure new staff have the necessary tech equipment and software access.
Project Management
* Collaborate with the Projects Manager on implementing IT systems and office improvements.
* Lead projects such as upgrading hardware, outsourcing services, and replacing case management systems.
Key Skills and Experience:
* Strong IT skills, ideally with legal sector experience.
* Familiarity with office management and project leadership in a fast paced legal firm.
* Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
* Confidence and problem-solving skills to handle diverse challenges.
* Experience with legal accounts and Solicitors' Accounts Rules (advantageous).
