The Events Coordinator provides operational support for onboarding programmes. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, proactive professional who can operationalise processes, remain calm under pressure, and has a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service. They will demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, motivation, and a positive attitude.
This person will be highly organised, efficient, composed, and capable of thriving in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments, while also being adaptable to rapidly evolving requirements. The role will focus on enhancing the new hire experience throughout the onboarding journey. Daily responsibilities will include pre-start processes and on-site event support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting the delivery of end-to-end logistics for FTE orientation or engineering bootcamp programmes
2. Ensuring events run smoothly, with full administrative and operational support
3. Providing high-level customer service to presenters, attendees, and stakeholders
4. Managing pre-event logistics, including liaising with suppliers and coordinating setup
5. Engaging with senior leaders and directors during orientation events
6. Acting as a subject matter expert during events to answer questions and support attendees
7. Event setup, takedown, preparation, and inventory management
8. Managing attendees ranging from 40 to 200 people
9. Supporting both short-term (2-day) and extended (5-day) training attendees
10. Supporting light change management projects such as quarterly scheduling
Qualifications
1. Comfortable learning new tools and becoming a subject matter expert
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
3. Excellent customer service and cross-functional collaboration abilities
4. Able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
5. Experience in project management and process improvement
6. Strong time management and attention to detail
7. Ability to multitask across concurrent projects
8. Comfortable working both independently and in a team setting
9. Confident in public speaking and presenting at large-scale events
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) and Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in employee onboarding or new hire experience
2. Experience with Salesforce and LMS (Learning Management Systems)
