We produce bread and bakery products created with Hovis goodness at the heart of each. We deliver around 1.3million loaves, every day of the week throughout the UK and Ireland, where we also make Mothers Pride and Ormo products.
We are 2,800 people working within 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 regional distribution centres across the UK. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* To report punctually for work and to advise the bakery as per the company’s absence reporting procedure - in good time - when unable to do so.
* The company clocking in and out procedure to be adhered to at all times.
* To observe the checking in and checking out procedures as applied.
* To observe and adhere to all Company rules and procedures, including all aspects of Health, Safety and Hygiene including the wearing of all Personal Protective Equipment, when on site.
* To maintain a high standard of behaviour and appearance of self, that upholds and enhances the company image, including the wearing of the company uniform.
* Despatch Operative must obtain the agreement of the Despatch Team Leader/Shift Manager, or nominated deputy, to ensure no other work is required to be completed before they finish their shift, if still within the daily working pattern.
* To ensure all hazards and accidents are reported immediately, in accordance with company policy.
* To undergo training so that all duties within the department can be carried out to the required standard.
* To comply with the “Clean as you go” housekeeping responsibilities
* To ensure that all documents are accurately recorded so that:
* The correct products and quantity are accurately received into Despatch.
* The detailed picking and assembly of individual customer orders.
* The reconciliation of product available against product to be despatched.
* The correct despatch adjustments are actioned.
* The correct orders are loaded onto the correct vehicle.
* To safely operate equipment that may be required to carry out despatch duties, such as the use of rola-trucs, forklift and basketeers.
* Maintaining product coding and product quality.
* To minimise operational errors which may result in a loss to the business?
* To ensure your team leader/shift manager is notified of products not received or issued to orders.
* Other duties that may be required for the efficient running of the despatch department
* Daily check list to be completed for rola-trucs upon the commencement of each shift.
