An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established and forward-thinking legal team in Birmingham. This role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to a highly skilled team, ensuring smooth daily operations in Family Law and Private Client matters.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Dictation: Typing correspondence and legal documents from dictation.
2. Document Preparation: Preparing and managing legal bundles, ensuring accurate indexing, pagination, and organization.
3. Diary Management: Scheduling appointments and managing meetings for fee earners.
4. Billing Support: Assisting with client invoicing and billing procedures.
5. File Management: Organizing and maintaining both physical and electronic filing systems.
6. General Administration: Preparing mail, enclosures, photocopying, and scanning.
7. Meeting Coordination: Booking meeting rooms, preparing facilities, and arranging refreshments as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
8. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
9. Proficiency in digital dictation and document preparation.
10. Effective diary and schedule management experience.
11. Familiarity with legal billing and file management.
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
13. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
