Job summary Are you interested in Paediatrics? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dietitian to join our progressive and friendly paediatric outpatient team on a permanent basis. This is a new post to support our expanding service. Our supportive team is experienced, highly regarded, integral members of the wider multidisciplinary paediatric teams, providing both inpatient and outpatient services. You will need to be passionate about working with children. This would be an excellent role for a Dietitian who already has some experience in Paediatrics and wishes to expand their skills. Alternatively, this could be an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian, with good transferable skills, who wishes to develop their experience in Paediatrics. Training and support will be provided as required. We are looking for a candidate who can work a minimum of 22.5 hours and up to 30 hours a week. We warmly welcome informal discussions prior to applying - please contact us: 07881845985 Main duties of the job As a Paediatric Dietitian you will provide a county-wide outpatient service to infants and children (0-18 years) referred by a range of healthcare professionals including consultants, GPs and health visitors for faltering growth, nutritional deficiencies, food allergies and restrictive diets. We are also an integral part of MDTs within the Organisation and have an excellent reputation within and outside the trust. Our paediatric dietetic outpatient clinics are run as a mixture of face to face clinics in varying venues across the county of Somerset, also consultations are provided by video and telephone. Due to the rural nature of the county of Somerset, you would be required to be a confident car driver and also have access to a car for work purposes.
