Do you have expertise in film and television production and experience working with children and young people aged 6-18? Are you looking for an opportunity to combine your skills and interests to develop young people in a fun and professional setting? Then PQA Haywards Heath is just the place for you!
Due to the success of our growing academy, The Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts (PQA), is currently recruiting a FILM & TELEVISION TEACHER for their Academy in Haywards Heath on Saturday mornings and/or afternoons (£60 per session). There may be the opportunity of additional work for the right candidate.
You will be inspirational and energetic and your knowledge of filmmaking will ignite passion in the hearts and minds of the young people who attend our academy. This will include camera skills, scriptwriting, acting for camera, directing, and post production.
Using these talents, you will teach our young people to create short films, documentaries and music videos to be entered into film festivals and to be shown in academy cinema screenings. You will also understand the technical side of filmmaking and be able to use and teach the use of filming equipment to our students.
We are searching for fun, engaging and passionate people looking to bring lots of exciting and innovative ideas to our Film & Television module. If you are passionate about learning, film production and making a positive impact on the lives of young people, we would be delighted to hear from you!
Minimum Requirements: Teaching experience will be beneficial but not essential as training and support will be given. PQA follows safer recruiting. An enhanced DBS on the update service will be required and can be arranged. Applicants must be 18+.
To apply please email your CV with a cover letter explaining why you would be the ideal candidate for this role. Please send these direct to Principal Florence on florence.tingley@pqacademy.com.
