Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Specialist Practitioner (PPT)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly ambitious, innovative, energetic, friendly, and high achieving 0-19 Public Health Nursing Service (PHNS). We would like to invite enthusiastic and highly motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) to be part of the Partnership Protection Team (PPT). The PPT supports children who are subject to child protection plans, contributing and supporting multi-agency decision making.
We are looking for an experienced SCPHN Health Visitor or School Nurse with substantial understanding of the complexities of working with vulnerable families and the impact of abuse and neglect. The postholder will provide evidence-based public health nursing practice that promotes and improves health and addresses inequalities of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people, and families within the borough.
In the role as SCPHN Specialist Practitioner, you will need:
1. Significant experience of working in the community with vulnerable children and families.
2. Extensive experience of managing care for safeguarding and complex cases.
3. Substantial experience of working collaboratively with other agencies.
4. Ability to contribute from a health perspective and share appropriate information at multi-agency meetings.
5. Confidence to lead on complex child protection plans, child in need, and looked after children.
6. Skills and knowledge to direct support and supervise other team members.
7. Ability to produce high quality reports and challenge multi-agency decision making where necessary.
