As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Business Development and Credit Control Assistant to support both our Business Development and Credit Control teams. These teams work closely together to ensure the smooth financial operation of customer accounts, from setting up new customers to managing payments. The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in both business development and credit control. You will play a key role in analysing customer credibility, maintaining and monitoring customer financials, proactive debt collecting, transaction allocation and reconciliation and processing payments. Your role will be essential in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the Sales Ledger team in their day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities First point of contact between customer and financial function Assist with customer onboarding and supporting credit applications Support the Sales Ledger team to ensure work routines are up to date Process incoming payments on the Sales Ledger system with accuracy Reconcile the banking facility for received payments Send out customer account statements as needed Monitor outstanding payments and review accounts with the Supervisor Step in to support the Supervisor in daily tasks when required Provide exceptional customer service, always ensuring professionalism and courtesy What We’re Looking For Experience in Sales Ledger, Accounts, or Finance (preferred but not essential). Strong numerical and organisational skills with attention to detail. Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
