Job Overview
As a Senior Account Executive – State Government, you will play a meaningful role in driving strategic growth and retention across state government accounts. This is a high-impact, strategic sales role — not a transactional one. Your success will hinge on your ability to develop and implement territory plans, manage extended sales cycles, and build long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
You’ll support the broader account management and retention efforts by maximising your relationships, insights, and strategic sales planning. While dedicated teams and reps are in place to handle the day-to-day support and renewal motions, you will act as the tip of the spear, deepening T-Mobile’s value within each account and helping expand our footprint.
Your performance will be evaluated on your ability to drive net new sales, support renewals through strategic engagement, and consistently hit bold revenue targets — all while embodying T-Mobile’s core values.
Job Responsibilities
New Sales:
* Use contact lists and lead generation strategies to drive new business.
* Consistently meet/exceed monthly sales, renewal, and churn goals.
* Represent T-Mobile during onboarding and discovery to unlock further opportunities.
* Maintain call volumes and pipeline activity in line with quota expectations.
Strategic Account Support:
* Partner with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
* Maximise your relationships with key partners to surface new sales opportunities, influence renewals, and unlock account expansion.
* Deliver account-level insights and strategic support during key lifecycle moments.
Planning & Execution:
* Develop and implement detailed territory and account plans focused on long-term growth.
* Navigate extended sales cycles and sophisticated procurement processes.
* Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and technical teams to align on customer needs.
Professionalism & Training:
* Stay current on products, services, and sales strategies through ongoing training.
* Demonstrate personal leadership, ethics, and accountability in every interaction.
Education and Work Experience
* High School Diploma /GED (Required)
* Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
* 5+ Years Selling to Government (State and Local) accounts. (Preferred)
* 5+ Years Extensive customer service experience. (Preferred)
* 5+ Years Business markets sales experience. (Required)
* 5+ Years Wireless industry sales experience. (Preferred)
* 5+ Years Telesales or technical sales experience. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Strategic Sales: Deep experience with territory/account planning, navigating long sales cycles, and closing large/sophisticated deals.
* Account Management Support: Consistent track record to partner with retention/account teams to improve customer value.
* Communication & Influence: Strong presentation, negotiation, and executive-level interpersonal skills.
* CRM & Tools: Skilled in Salesforce and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
* Prospecting: Comfortable engaging with senior partners at large organizations and uncovering strategic opportunities.
* Problem Solving: Ability to analyze account and market data to drive informed sales decisions.

Total Target Cash Pay Range: $154,900 - $279,300, inclusive of target incentives
Base Pay Range: $92,940 - $167,580
