Altum is delighted to partner with a renowned UK retailer in their search for a Finance Transformation Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to lead their FP&A transformation initiatives while collaborating closely with the FP&A team to ensure the successful delivery of both transformation projects and BAU tasks. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in financial planning, analysis, and systems implementation, with a strong track record of managing large-scale projects, driving process efficiency, and leading change management efforts. As part of the Group Finance leadership team, this role will be instrumental in shaping the future of the finance function. Key Responsibilities FP&A System Implementation Lead the full lifecycle of a new FP&A system implementation (OneStream), including planning, design, testing, and deployment. Collaborate with the FP&A function and oversee the system implementation team. Manage relationships with external implementation partners, ensuring delivery, billing, and change control. Work cross-functionally with IT, finance, and other departments to align system functionality with business needs. Provide training and support to FP&A team members and stakeholders on the new system. Partner with senior leadership to refine planning processes and improve efficiency alongside system implementation. Develop and execute a comprehensive FP&A transformation project plan with clear milestones and resource allocation. Finance Transformation Execution Focus on effective execution and communication of the Finance 2.0 plan, identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement. Provide governance across key pillars: Control & Compliance, Business Partnering, and People. Oversee project management resources to ensure detailed plans are in place and executed. Change Management Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes. Communicate transformation goals and progress effectively to stakeholders at all levels. Promote adoption of automation tools and new technologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency. FP&A Support Work closely with the Head of FP&A to integrate transformation efforts with BAU deliverables. Ensure the successful utilisation of new system outputs for critical activities, such as the FY26 budget process. Provide support to the FP&A team, acting as a reviewer, advisor, and backup resource when needed. Maintain accurate and timely financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to provide actionable insights. About You Essential Skills and Experience Deep understanding of FP&A principles, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance measurement. Proven expertise in implementing FP&A systems (Ideally OneStream), with knowledge of system architecture, data integration, and automation. Strong change management skills to align stakeholders and drive adoption of new processes. Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale FP&A transformation projects. Experience optimising FP&A processes in a dynamic, complex environment. Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage with senior leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners. Exceptional project management abilities, with a focus on delivering results efficiently and on time. A track record of driving financial and operational improvements through strategic initiatives.
