Role Summary
Working as part of the Management Accounts team, Finance team and with the wider business, you will produce and deliver the month end management accounts with variance analysis, as well as weekly reporting, annual budgeting & forecasting and capital expenditure management.
You will benefit from support and development from other members of the Finance Team plus the leadership and support of the Senior Management Accountant.
What you’ll be doing
1. Preparing monthly management accounts including detailed variance analysis vs budget, commentary and presentation
2. Conducting regular financial analysis to identify risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures
3. Balance sheet reconciliations including robust reconciliations to support balances
4. Collaborating closely with Department Managers and SLT to provide financial insights to support data-driven decision making
5. Preparing annual budgets, accurate quarterly forecasts and scenarios
6. Weekly OPEX reporting
7. Driving continuous improvement of processes to improve efficiency
8. Assisting with internal controls, interim and year end audits
9. Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, Fixed Asset processing and reporting
10. Dealing with ad hoc requests as required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. Previous Management Accounting experience.
2. If you have experience within a manufacturing environment even better but otherwise experience from industry
3. Experience with month end & multiple deadlines
4. Computerised accounting systems, preferably ERP
5. CIMA/ACCA qualified or finalist
