Reports to: Activities Finance Administrator & Activities Finance Coordinator
Hours: Minimum of 5 hours per week during Term time

Purpose of the Job
Supporting the day-to-day running of our financial processes as a Student Activities Finance Assistant, reporting to the Activities Finance Administrator and the Activities Finance Coordinator. You will play a central role in ensuring efficient, accurate, and consistent financial reporting and services are provided to our groups. The role will ensure a timely processing of requests and exceptional customer service with every interaction, whilst working in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment. While working with our student groups, there will be various opportunities to exercise problem-solving skills to help achieve the best outcome.
Financial experience is not essential but must be willing to adapt to new challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities
* The role will focus on providing support with checking BACs payments on a weekly basis.
* To provide support and assistance to the Activities Finance Coordinator and Activities Finance Administrator.
* To assist in creating products and tickets on the Union website.
* To support the Activities Finance Coordinator and Activities Finance Administrator in processing a variety of payments.
* To follow up on actions from the weekly Finance Panel.
* Checking, responding, and maintaining the su.finance-activities mailbox and escalating complex issues where appropriate.
* To provide assistance with monthly credit control including but not limited to sponsorship chasing and cancellation requests.
* Provide support and assistance with in-person and telephone queries.
Other Responsibilities
* Attend staff meetings and training when required.
* Liaise with Union departments to resolve queries and build productive working relationships where necessary.
* Maintain an awareness and observation of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.
* Actively comply and promote UCL’s equal opportunity policy.
