Consultant, Business Transformation
At AtkinsRéalis, we are known for our great work across a wide variety of projects. This success is thanks to our people's diversity of thought, expertise, and knowledge. When you join us, you'll be part of a genuinely collaborative environment where everyone's voice is valued.
We are passionate about what we do, and we offer flexible and remote working policies designed to help you achieve a work-life balance.
The role we are seeking to fill sits within the Business Transformation team in our Transportation business, which has an excellent record of delivery for a wide range of clients, including some of the largest public and private sector organisations in the UK, particularly in rail, highways, and local transport markets. We create a culture and environment to inspire collaboration with our clients and shape the future of mobility.
The UK transport sector is undergoing significant changes. Maximising effectiveness in delivering against long-term funding commitments from the Government is critical to support economic growth. Our clients face key challenges in defining and delivering their long-term programmes, maximising the value of assets, and embracing new technologies to achieve the best outcomes for users and the economy.
These challenges are driving the need for change in the way our clients do business, enabling them to deliver their investments and meet their strategic priorities.
The Role:
Our Business Transformation team supports leaders to think differently by re-aligning their strategic priorities, providing support to reorganise their businesses, and developing processes to support new operations. We help uncover and overcome cultural and organisational challenges that hinder success.
Your Purpose:
* We are looking to recruit talented individuals who are passionate about delivering excellence in transformation and complex business change. These individuals will take pride in delivering an authentic and hands-on approach to understand our clients’ business challenges and help them achieve their ambitions.
* The roles we hope to fill will enhance our existing business consulting expertise across three Communities of Practice: Strategy and Transformation Planning, Operational and Organisational Excellence, and Sustainable Change and Engagement.
* You will have responsibility for client-facing work from the outset, contributing to work-streams or projects and collaborating with colleagues to deliver specific project outputs.
* You will support the achievement of challenging operational and consultancy revenue targets, assisting with bid writing/tendering and the development and delivery of our wider transportation strategy.
* The role will be based in our Manchester or York office, with travel to client sites across the UK being essential.
What you can bring:
* We seek individuals with a blend of consulting capabilities and techniques suitable for various situations, including strategy development, operational improvement, and organisational development.
* Experience in developing new and improved operating models, business process analysis and improvement, change impact and management techniques, and cultural and behavioural development is preferred.
* A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline is preferred but not essential. Professional qualifications from a relevant discipline are also preferred.
* The ability to manage competing tasks and operate successfully under pressure is essential. Collaboration and maximising the value of networks within and outside AtkinsRéalis are crucial.
* Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients at all levels are important.
* Excellent written communication skills are essential, enabling you to present and deliver compelling, accurate, and engaging outcomes to clients and in support of business development activities.
